Hussein Zarei was born in Kashan in February 10, 1975

Hussein Zarei was born in Kashan in February 10, 1975. Since the age of ten, he mastered the traditional tile art with his father, Abbas Zarei, and then he continued to work with other masters such as the late Hajj AbolqasemGhalamaniQomi, Haj Ali Memari and Abbas BahreBord, and learned tile mosaic in Isfahan under the supervision of Haj Ali Maghzi. Zarei traveled to Mashhad in 1996 to study tiling and at the Astan-e-Quds Razavi Workshop he learned traditional and glazed tile making under the supervision of Master Soltani and Master Moghimi. Zarei was recruited by the Cultural Heritage organization in 1998. He visited the pottery workshops of the organization in Tehran to master pottery with Master Pashaei, Mehri and Ms. Javadi. In 2006, he traveled to Zanjan to complete his skills and attended the workshop of GonbadSoltanieh, under the guidance of SaedKashaniNejad.In 2009, he established seven color tile workshop, which is the only one in the city of Kashan. Launching the pottery workshop in Kashan Center for Traditional Arts has been one of the important activities of Zarei, which revived pottery art in Kashan. Zarei holds a 3rdgrade in arts from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Studies. Creativity, ingenuity and taste of Zarei in the creation of works of art were reasons to award him UNESCO's Sign of in 2010. Studies on the construction of golden glaze, participation in various exhibitions and setting up a pottery workshop in the historical and residential complex of Negin areamong the important activities of Mr. Zarei.
